Pickups & Local Collection (We're Online Only)
Can I pick up my order?
No — we're an online-only store. Every order we take is packed and shipped to you. We don't offer click & collect, warehouse pickups, or "I'll just swing by and grab it".
But you have an address in Hornsby?
We do, and it's on our invoices, in our footer and on Google Maps — but it's a despatch warehouse, not a shop. Unit 13, 8-12 Leighton Place, Hornsby is where parcels are picked, packed and handed to couriers. There's no retail counter, no showroom, no shelves to browse and nobody rostered to serve customers at the door.
Please don't turn up expecting to buy something or collect an order. We'd hate for you to drive across Sydney for a closed roller door.
Why don't you do local pickup?
- It's a warehouse workflow. Stock lives in bins that our pick-and-pack system routes staff through. Pulling one order out of that flow for a walk-in costs more than the postage does.
- The site isn't set up for visitors. It's an industrial unit with forklifts and pallet movement, not a public space.
- Shipping is genuinely faster. Orders paid before 1:00 PM AEST on a business day generally go out the same day, and most of Sydney sees them the next morning.
I need it today — what are my options?
Same-day courier (Gopeople)
If you're in a covered area, a Gopeople courier collects your order from our warehouse and delivers it to your door the same day.
- Order on a weekday (Monday to Friday) and pay before the cutoff
- Choose the Gopeople same-day delivery option at checkout — it appears automatically if it's available for your address
- A courier picks up your parcel and brings it to you that day
Worth knowing: same-day runs on business days only (no weekends or public holidays), every item in the order has to be in stock, and coverage depends on Gopeople's network in your area.
Express Post
If same-day isn't offered for your address, Express Shipping via Australia Post is the next fastest option. Orders placed before 1:00 PM AEST on a business day are usually dispatched the same day.
What about schools, resellers and big orders?
Same answer — we ship those too, including to purchase-order accounts. If you have a genuinely unusual freight requirement (a pallet, a dangerous-goods item, a deadline a courier can't meet), email team@littlebirdelectronics.com.au and we'll work out the best way to get it to you.
Deliveries and drop-offs to our warehouse
Supplier deliveries and returns sent back to us are a different thing and are welcome — but returns need an approved return first, so start at our returns help article rather than posting anything back unannounced.
