A waterproof DS18B20 digital temperature sensor kit with everything you need to connect to an Arduino. The stainless steel probe measures temperatures from -55°C to +125°C over a 1-Wire interface, requiring just one digital pin for communication. Multiple sensors can share the same data pin thanks to unique 64-bit IDs.

The kit includes a terminal sensor adapter for easy plug-and-play connection to Arduino — no breadboard wiring required.

Key Features

  • Waterproof Probe – Stainless steel housing for immersion in liquids
  • 1-Wire Interface – Only one digital pin needed for data
  • Multi-Sensor Support – Multiple probes can share a single data pin
  • Wide Temperature Range – -55°C to +125°C (-67°F to +257°F)
  • Configurable Resolution – 9 to 12-bit temperature readings
  • Terminal Adapter Included – Easy connection to Arduino without soldering

Specifications

  • Sensor – DS18B20
  • Operating Voltage – 3.0–5.5V
  • Accuracy – ±0.5°C (-10°C to +85°C)
  • Temperature Range – -55°C to +125°C
  • Resolution – 9 to 12-bit (configurable)
  • Query Time – <750 ms
  • Probe Dimensions – 6 mm diameter × 35 mm long (stainless steel)
  • Cable Length – 90 cm
  • Cable Diameter – 4 mm

Wiring

  • Type A: Red = VCC, Black = GND, Yellow = DATA
  • Type B: Red = VCC, Yellow = GND, Green = DATA

Package Contents

  • 1× Waterproof DS18B20 temperature probe
  • 1× Terminal sensor adapter (DFR0055)
  • 1× Digital sensor cable

Ideal For

  • Water temperature monitoring (aquariums, pools, brewing)
  • Environmental and weather station projects
  • Arduino and Raspberry Pi temperature logging
  • Industrial and outdoor temperature sensing

Resources

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

1-Wire
1-Wire is a communication method where devices share a single data line, often with each device having its own address. It matters because several temperature modules can be connected to one microcontroller pin instead of needing a separate pin for each probe.
DS18B20
A common digital temperature sensor often sold in waterproof probe form. It matters here because the kit does not include temperature measurement, and a DS18B20 is the suggested add-on if your water readings need temperature context.
