SparkFun WiFi IR Blaster (ESP8266)
Discontinued
The SparkFun WiFi IR Blaster combines an ESP8266 WiFi/microcontroller SoC with IR emitter and receiver components, enabling control of legacy infrared devices over a WiFi network. Use it to trigger IR-controlled TVs, stereos, LED strips, and other devices via HTTP, MQTT, or TCP — bringing old hardware into the Internet of Things.
The board includes a crystal, 4 MB flash, and PCB antenna. The IR emitter and detector are packaged with the board but not pre-soldered, allowing flexible positioning at any angle your project requires. Some soldering is required for assembly.
