A 200mm adapter cable with a JST-SH 4-pin connector (STEMMA QT / Qwiic, 1mm pitch) on one end and a JST-PH 4-pin connector (STEMMA / Grove, 2mm pitch) on the other. Use it to bridge I2C sensors and drivers between the two connector ecosystems.
Both connectors have a latching feel for secure connections while remaining easy to insert and remove. The cable works with boards like PyPortal, PyBadge, PyGamer, HalloWing, and any other device with a 4-pin JST-PH or JST-SH I2C connector.
Key Features
- JST-SH to JST-PH Adapter – Connects STEMMA QT / Qwiic devices to STEMMA / Grove devices
- 200mm Length – Flexible cable for easy routing
- 4-Wire I2C – GND, V+, SDA, SCL
- Latching Connectors – Secure connection on both ends
Wire Colours
- Black – GND
- Red – V+ (3.3V for Qwiic, 3–5V for STEMMA QT)
- Blue – SDA
- Yellow – SCL
Compatibility Notes
- Connect any Grove I2C sensor (3–5V) to an I2C host with STEMMA QT or Qwiic connectors (3V)
- Connect any STEMMA QT sensor (3–5V) to a Grove or STEMMA host (5V), and vice versa
Package Contents
- 1× JST-PH to JST-SH 4-pin cable (200mm)

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- 2mm pitch
- Pitch is the distance between the centres of neighbouring pins on a connector. A 2mm pitch header is smaller than the common 2.54mm breadboard spacing, so you need matching cables and headers rather than standard breadboard jumper leads.
- GND
- GND is the ground or reference connection (0 V) for a circuit. When connecting two devices together, their grounds must be joined so both agree on what counts as a low or high signal.
- Grove
- Grove is a standardised 4-pin plug-in connector system for sensors and modules that avoids soldering and jumper wires, with different cable types carrying I2C, UART, analogue or digital signals. When a product is Grove-compatible it can be quicker to connect supported modules, provided the connector type, signal and voltage all match.
- I2C
- I2C is a two-wire communication bus used by many sensors and small modules. It matters because several I2C devices can share the same two wires, but each device needs a compatible address and your controller must support I2C.
- pH
- A measure of how acidic or alkaline a liquid is, on a scale where 7 is neutral. For a water monitoring kit, pH tells you about water chemistry and whether the included probe matches the range and accuracy your project needs.
- Qwiic
- Qwiic is a plug-in connector system for I2C devices that uses small 4-pin cables, so you can connect compatible sensors without soldering. It matters because your controller or adapter also needs Qwiic, or you will need a cable or breakout to wire it up.
- STEMMA
- A plug-and-cable connection system used on some maker electronics boards to make wiring simpler. If a product uses STEMMA, you need the matching cable or connector type to plug it in without soldering.
- STEMMA QT
- A small plug-in connector system for I2C boards that lets you connect compatible sensors and controllers without soldering. It matters because it can make wiring faster and less error-prone, especially when adding several small modules to a project.
