This 4.7" e-ink display board integrates an ESP32-WROVER-E module (ESP32-D0WDQ6 V3) with 16MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM, providing a complete development platform for low-power e-ink projects. The display supports 16 grayscale levels and partial refresh for faster screen updates.
The board features 3 custom buttons, a reset button, 7 expansion I/O ports, a 6-pin touch screen interface (for an optional capacitive touchscreen panel), and a PH 2.0 battery connector with built-in charge/discharge protection (HX6610S). E-ink displays retain their image even when power is disconnected, making this ideal for battery-powered information displays.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- ESP32
- ESP32 is a family of low-cost microcontroller chips and modules from Espressif with built-in WiFi and Bluetooth. They support programmable firmware and over-the-air updates, and are commonly programmed with toolchains such as the Arduino core and ESP-IDF.
- IoT
- Short for Internet of Things, meaning physical devices that connect to networks or the internet to send data or be controlled remotely. It matters if you want projects such as connected sensors, remote controls or classroom data-logging activities.
- pH
- A measure of how acidic or alkaline a liquid is, on a scale where 7 is neutral. For a water monitoring kit, pH tells you about water chemistry and whether the included probe matches the range and accuracy your project needs.
- Type-C
- USB Type-C (USB-C) is a small, reversible USB connector used for charging, power, and data transfer on many modern devices. A Type-C port or plug indicates the cable and charger connection needed to power, charge, or communicate with a device.
