SparkFun EL Sequencer
The SparkFun EL Sequencer is an Arduino-compatible board designed to control up to eight channels of electroluminescent (EL) wire, tape, or panels. It uses zero-crossing optoisolated triacs for noise-free switching and full isolation between the high-voltage AC and low-voltage DC sides.
The board includes an ATmega328 microcontroller (preloaded with demo code), headers for XBee and NRF24L01+ radio modules for wireless control, a 5V FTDI header for serial programming, and a 1.5A adjustable linear regulator to supply regulated DC to an external inverter. A USB/BATT switch allows powering via FTDI or LiPo battery.
Key Features
- 8 EL Channels – Control up to 8 strands of EL wire/tape/panels independently
