A simple single-cell LiPo/Li-Ion battery charger based on the MCP73831T charge controller IC. Connect a battery via the JST connector, plug in a Mini-USB cable for power, and the board handles charging automatically with a status LED to indicate progress.

- LED
- A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.
- LiPo
- A LiPo (lithium polymer) battery is a rechargeable lithium battery widely used in portable projects because it is light and compact. - pH
- A measure of how acidic or alkaline a liquid is, on a scale where 7 is neutral. For a water monitoring kit, pH tells you about water chemistry and whether the included probe matches the range and accuracy your project needs.
