Repair a damaged Maqueen Plus V3 motor without replacing the whole robot. This official DFRobot N20 motor accessory kit is made for quick classroom or project repairs when dust, hair, particles or rough handling have jammed gears or damaged a motor.
It is compatible with Maqueen Plus V3 models MBT0050-AA and MBT0050-18650. The kit contains one N20 metal motor, a motor mounting bracket, two mounting screws and a motor connecting wire, so it covers one motor replacement.
The motor connects using a PH2.0 connector for plug-and-play installation, with no soldering required. A Hall magnetic ring and PCB are pre-installed, and a motor replacement wiki guide is provided by DFRobot.
Please note: new Maqueen Plus V3 robots already include the two motors required for operation. If both motors on your robot are damaged, you will need two kits.
Features:
- All-in-One Solution: Includes one motor, a mounting bracket, screws, and a connecting wire—everything needed for a single motor replacement.
- Quick & Easy Repair: The motor connects via a PH2.0 connector for plug-and-play installation.
- Quick & Easy Repair: No soldering is required.
- Quick & Easy Repair: Simply swap the old motor out and plug the new one in.
- Official Accessory: Guarantees perfect compatibility and performance, matching the original motor specifications of the Maqueen Plus V3.
- Integrated Encoder: The motor comes with a pre-installed Hall magnetic ring and PCB, enabling precise closed-loop control over speed and position.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- closed-loop control
- Closed-loop control means the system uses feedback, such as motor position or speed, to adjust its output automatically. This matters because it can keep a motor moving accurately even when the load changes, unlike simple open-loop control.
- DC
- DC means direct current, where electricity flows in one constant direction, as supplied by batteries, USB ports and many plug-pack power supplies. When a product specifies DC, it runs from a DC supply rather than mains AC, so you need to provide the correct voltage and polarity.
- encoder
- An encoder is a sensor that converts the rotation or position of a shaft, knob or dial into electrical signals, reporting movement as incremental steps and direction, or as an absolute position. It is used to track how far something has turned, which matters for precise positioning, speed control, repeatable movement, or using a rotary knob as an input.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board (PCB) is a board, usually rigid, with etched copper tracks that connect electronic components together without loose wiring. Components are mounted on the board and signals route between them through the copper layout.
