Qwiic Spectral Sensor - AS7341
Discontinued
The Qwiic Spectral Sensor breakout features the AMS AS7341, an 11-channel spectral sensor covering wavelengths from 350 nm to 1,000 nm. Eight channels span the visible spectrum, plus there's a near-IR channel, a clear channel, and flicker detection up to 2 kHz. Point it at an object to measure reflected or absorbed electromagnetic wavelengths.
Onboard IR and white LEDs provide target illumination for better spectral readings, each controllable via software with current up to 60 mA. Both LEDs can be disabled by cutting a PCB trace, and through-hole pads allow you to install your own external LEDs. The Qwiic connector means plug-and-play I²C with no soldering required.
Key Features
- 11 Spectral Channels – 415, 445, 480, 515, 555, 590, 630, 680 nm + clear, near-IR, and flicker detection
- Flicker Detection – Up to 2 kHz
- Onboard LEDs – White and IR illumination LEDs (up to 60 mA each, software-controllable)
