MicroMod CAN Bus Function Board
The MicroMod CAN Bus Function Board adds Controller Area Network (CAN) connectivity to any MicroMod project. It pairs an MCP2515 stand-alone CAN controller with an MCP2551 high-speed transceiver, supporting CAN V2.0B at up to 1 Mb/s with up to 112 nodes on a single bus.
Two CAN connectors are provided: a 2-pin screw terminal for CANH/CANL and a D-sub connector for OBD-II-to-DB9 cables. Solder jumpers on the underside allow you to bypass the MCP2515 (if your processor has a built-in CAN controller), change the D-sub pinout for compatibility with third-party cables, and enable the built-in 120 Ω termination resistor.
Key Features
- MCP2515 CAN Controller – CAN V2.0B at 1 Mb/s with high-speed SPI interface (10 MHz)
