The XBee PRO S2C (XBP24CZ7WIT-004) from Digi is a high-power ZigBee mesh radio module that enables reliable wireless communication between microcontrollers, computers, and other serial devices. With up to 63 mW transmit power and an outdoor line-of-sight range of up to 3.2 km, it's well suited for long-range mesh networking applications.
Based on the ZigBee mesh protocol, Series 2C modules support complex mesh, point-to-point, and multi-point network topologies. Communication is available via UART or the newly introduced SPI interface. A PCB antenna is built in, keeping the form factor compact.
