The Adafruit I2S 3W Stereo Speaker Bonnet adds high-quality digital audio output to any Raspberry Pi with a 2×20 GPIO header. Using the I2S digital sound standard, audio data goes directly to the onboard Class D amplifier — delivering crisp, static-free stereo sound without relying on the Pi's headphone jack.
Sized to match the Raspberry Pi Zero footprint, this bonnet is compatible with all Raspberry Pi models including the A+, B+, Zero, Pi 2, Pi 3, and later. It works with Raspbian and RetroPie, and Adafruit's installer script gets you up and running in minutes.
