A compact push-pull solenoid with a captive armature and built-in return spring. When energised with up to 12V DC, the armature moves in one direction; when power is removed, the spring returns it to its resting position. The dual-action design allows it to push from one end or pull from the other.

Unlike many lower-cost solenoids, this one features a captive armature (it won't fall out), a return spring for automatic reset, and mounting tabs for easy installation. It's a reliable, general-purpose solenoid suitable for a wide range of projects.

Note: Driving a solenoid requires a power transistor and a flyback diode. The solenoid draws approximately 250mA — do not attempt to power it from a 9V battery or directly from a microcontroller pin. Use an adequate DC power supply.
