The Adafruit Perma-Proto Bonnet Mini Kit is a prototyping daughter board sized for the Raspberry Pi Zero. It plugs directly onto the Pi's 2×20 GPIO header and provides a grid of 0.1″ soldering holes connected in a familiar breadboard pattern — making it easy to transfer circuits from a solderless breadboard to a permanent soldered design.

Nearly every GPIO pin is broken out near the top of the board, along with dedicated power strips for +3V, +5V, and ground. Unlike the Perma-Proto HAT versions, this Bonnet does not include an EEPROM, so it can be stacked with other Bonnets and pHATs without address collisions.

Key Features

  • Breadboard-Style Layout – 0.1″ grid with connected pads matching solderless breadboard patterns
  • GPIO Breakout – Nearly all Pi GPIO pins broken out along the top edge
  • Power Rails – Dedicated +3V, +5V, and GND strips
  • No EEPROM – Stack-friendly design avoids address collisions with other HATs/Bonnets
  • Pi Zero Form Factor – Sized for Pi Zero but fits any Pi with a 2×20 header
Tip: You can customise the fit by swapping the included 2×20 female header for a stacking header (to add boards above), a slim header (to sit closer to the Pi), or an extra-tall header (to clear USB/Ethernet ports on larger Pi models).

Ideal For

  • Custom circuits and add-ons for Raspberry Pi Zero projects
  • Transferring breadboard prototypes to a permanent soldered board
  • Stacking with other Bonnets and pHATs (no EEPROM conflicts)

Package Contents

  • 1× Perma-Proto Bonnet PCB
  • 1× 2×20 Female GPIO Header
Note: Raspberry Pi Zero not included. A small amount of soldering is required to attach the header to the PCB.
