ESP8285 SMT Module - ESP8266 with 1MB FLASH - ESP-M2
A compact WiFi microcontroller module based on the ESP8285 — an ESP8266 processor with 1 MB of flash memory built directly into the chip. It works exactly like an ESP8266 with the same processor, WiFi stack, and firmware compatibility, but the integrated flash makes for a smaller, more affordable module.
The ESP8285 features an 80 MHz microcontroller with a full WiFi front-end (client and access point modes), TCP/IP stack with DNS support, and an onboard antenna. Pre-programmed with NodeMCU Lua firmware and ready to go. The large SMT pads make hand soldering straightforward.
Warning: This is the bare SMT module only — for advanced users comfortable with surface-mount soldering and circuit design. Additional components are needed for a complete circuit. If you're looking for a ready-to-use board, consider the Adafruit HUZZAH ESP8266 Breakout.
