This brass liquid flow meter measures water or other liquid flow using a pinwheel and Hall effect sensor. As liquid passes through the 1/2" threaded brass body, it spins an internal pinwheel with a magnet attached. A Hall effect sensor on the outside of the tube counts the rotations through the metal wall, keeping the electronics safe and dry.

Each pulse from the sensor corresponds to approximately 2 mL of liquid. Connect the three-wire output (red = 5–18V power, black = ground, yellow = pulse output) to a microcontroller and count pulses to track flow. Comes with a 3-pin JST SM connector for easy wiring.

Key Features

  • Hall Effect Pulse Output – ~2 mL per pulse for simple flow measurement
  • Brass 1/2" Threaded Body – Durable construction for inline plumbing installation
  • Safe, Dry Electronics – Magnetic sensing through the brass wall, no contact with liquid
  • Wide Voltage Range – 5–18V DC power input
  • 3-Pin JST SM Connector – Quick connect/disconnect wiring
Note: This is not a precision sensor. Pulse rate varies with flow rate, fluid pressure, and sensor orientation. Calibration is recommended if better than ±10% accuracy is required.

Ideal For

  • Garden irrigation and watering systems
  • Solar thermal and water heating monitors
  • Computer liquid cooling flow monitoring
  • Aquarium and hydroponic flow tracking
