We no longer stock SparkFun Pi Servo HAT, but here are current alternatives in Raspberry Pi Motors and Robotics Hats.
SparkFun Pi Servo HAT
Discontinued
The SparkFun Pi Servo HAT allows your Raspberry Pi to control up to 16 servo motors via an I2C connection. By using I2C, the HAT keeps your GPIO pins free for other tasks, and it also adds a serial terminal connection so you can set up a Raspberry Pi without a monitor and keyboard.
Power is supplied through a micro-USB connector that can power the servos alone, or both the servos and the connected Pi. An isolation jumper lets you separate the servo power rail from the Pi's 5V rail, allowing you to drive heavier loads from multiple or larger servos.
Key Features
- 16 Servo Channels – Control up to 16 servo motors simultaneously via I2C
- GPIO-Free Operation – I2C interface leaves all GPIO pins available for other uses
- Serial Terminal Connection – Set up your Pi headlessly via USB serial
- Micro-USB Power – Powers servos only, or servos and Pi together
- Isolation Jumper – Separate servo and Pi power rails for heavier loads
- Correctly Spaced Headers – Pin headers spaced for standard hobby servo connectors
- Pi Zero Form Factor – Sized for Pi Zero/Zero W, but compatible with full-size Raspberry Pi boards
Ideal For
- Robotics and multi-servo projects
- Animatronics and motion control
- Pan-tilt camera systems
- Raspberry Pi-based automation
