SparkFun Cryptographic Development Kit
The SparkFun Cryptographic Development Kit provides everything you need to learn the fundamentals of cryptographic authentication using the ATECC508A co-processor. The kit pairs two ATECC508A breakout boards with two SparkFun RedBoard Artemis boards, allowing you to set up secure communication between two nodes for IoT, edge devices, or embedded systems.
The ATECC508A handles asymmetric key generation and storage (Elliptic Curve Cryptography, FIPS186-3), digital signature creation and verification, shared secret key exchange (ECDH), SHA-256 challenge-response authentication, and FIPS-grade random number generation. The RedBoard Artemis provides BLE connectivity, 1 MB of flash, and sub-1 mA sleep current in a familiar Uno footprint.
