SmartLED Shield - Teensy 4

The SmartLED Shield enables the Teensy 4 to drive high-quality graphics to HUB75 RGB LED panels with 36-bit colour and 240 Hz refresh rates across large panels (e.g., 128 × 64 pixels). A Teensy 4.0 or 4.1 with pins fits directly into the shield's socket, and the shield connects to HUB75 panels either directly or via ribbon cable.

The SmartMatrix Arduino library provides a simple API for drawing graphics, scrolling text, rendering FastLED patterns, and playing animated GIFs. Special Teensy 4 peripherals handle display refresh in the background with minimal CPU usage, leaving the processor free for SPI communication, file decoding, or complex rendering.
