Warning: The SIM900 is a 2G (GSM/GPRS) only module. All Australian mobile networks have shut down their 2G services. This module will not connect to any Australian carrier. It may still be suitable for use in countries where 2G networks remain active, or for development and educational purposes.
The SIM900 GSM/GPRS module operates at 3.3V logic level, making it directly compatible with 3.3V microcontrollers such as the Arduino Due. It features a quad-band GSM/GPRS engine supporting GSM 850, EGSM 900, DCS 1800, and PCS 1900 bands with automatic frequency selection. Controlled via AT commands over a serial interface.
