Resettable fuses (PTC thermistors) protect your circuits against overcurrent faults by automatically limiting current flow when the trip threshold is exceeded. Unlike traditional fuses, they reset themselves once the fault is removed and the fuse cools down — no replacement needed.

Place them on the power input of your circuit for an extra layer of protection against shorts and miswiring.

How They Work

When current exceeds the trip rating, the fuse heats up, causing its resistance to increase dramatically. This reduces current flow through the circuit, protecting downstream components. Once the overcurrent condition is removed, the fuse cools and returns to its low-resistance state.
