The Raspberry Pi Model A is the original single-board computer from the Raspberry Pi Foundation, designed to promote computer science education. This is the lower-cost Model A variant with one USB port, no Ethernet, and 256 MB RAM.
Based on the Broadcom BCM2835 SoC with an ARM1176JZF-S 700 MHz processor and VideoCore IV GPU, it boots from an SD card and runs Linux-based operating systems. It plays full HD video and handles basic computing tasks including word processing, spreadsheets, programming, and games.
