This pack combines a Compute Module 4 IoT Router Carrier Board Mini with a metal cooling case and heat sink, giving you a compact platform for building a Raspberry Pi CM4-based router, gateway or IoT hub.
The carrier board adds two full-speed gigabit network ports by using PCIe for the second network interface, offering better performance, lower CPU usage and improved long-term stability compared with a USB network card. It also keeps a 26-pin Raspberry Pi-compatible GPIO header for actuators, sensors and smart cooling fans.
A USB 2.0 interface is available for peripherals such as mobile hard drives, printers, WiFi modules and LTE modules. The board provides OpenWRT open-source router system support, and is also compatible with Raspberry OS, Ubuntu Server and other Raspberry Pi systems.
The CM4 board socket is fragile, so align the module carefully before pressing it into place. Avoid repeatedly plugging and unplugging the CM4, and make sure the installation direction is correct before powering up.
