The Pico to Pi HAT X Converter maps the Raspberry Pi Pico (or any Pico-pin-compatible board) into the standard Raspberry Pi 2×20 GPIO header layout. This allows Raspberry Pi HATs, bonnets, and pHATs designed for the full-size Pi to be connected to RP2-based microcontroller boards.

A colour-coded 40-pin header makes pin identification straightforward, and eight additional GPIOs are exposed on the underside along with 5 V, 3.3 V, and 2× GND pins for extra connectivity.

Key Features

  • Pico to Pi GPIO Mapping – Converts Pico-style pinout to Raspberry Pi 2×20 header format
  • Colour-Coded Header – Easy pin identification during development
  • 8 Extra GPIOs – Exposed underneath for additional connections
  • 5 V, 3.3 V, and GND Access – Power pins available on the underside
  • HAT/Bonnet Compatible – Mechanical fit for standard Raspberry Pi HATs and bonnets

Ideal For

  • Using Raspberry Pi HATs and bonnets with RP2040/RP2350-based boards
  • Prototyping with Pico boards in Pi HAT form factor
  • Accessing the Raspberry Pi accessory ecosystem from a microcontroller
Note: Mechanical compatibility does not guarantee firmware support. HATs and bonnets that use standard I2C or SPI peripherals (e.g. PCA9685-based boards) will generally work with appropriate drivers. However, boards requiring platform-specific drivers may need additional software development. There are also no pull-up resistors on SDA/SCL — HATs that rely on the Pi's built-in 1.8 kΩ pull-ups may need external resistors added.

Package Contents
