The NeoPixel Jewel packs seven individually addressable WS2812B/SK6812 RGB LEDs onto an elegant round PCB with mounting holes and a chainable design. Control all seven LEDs from a single microcontroller pin and chain multiple Jewels together for larger installations.

Each 5050-size (5mm × 5mm) LED includes a built-in driver chip with ~18mA constant current drive, ensuring consistent colour even with voltage variation. No external resistors are required, keeping the design slim and simple.

Key Features

  • Single-Pin Control – Drive all LEDs from one data line using the NeoPixel protocol
  • Chainable Design – Connect the output of one Jewel to the input of the next for larger arrays
  • Constant Current Drive – ~18mA per LED for consistent colour regardless of voltage variation
  • Compact Form Factor – Seven LEDs on a round PCB with mounting holes
  • 5V Operation – Power directly from 5VDC

Ideal For

  • Wearable electronics and e-textiles
  • LED jewellery and accessories
  • Cosplay and costume lighting
  • Status indicators and decorative lighting
  • Chainable LED installations
Note: NeoPixels require a real-time microcontroller (Arduino, AVR, PIC, mbed, etc.) running at 8MHz or faster. They are not compatible with Linux-based microcomputers or interpreted microcontrollers due to strict timing requirements. May ship with either WS2812B or SK6812-based LEDs — they are identical in brightness, colour, and protocol.
