This compact capacitive sensor detects the presence or level of liquid through non-metallic container walls, so it does not need to touch the liquid. That helps avoid corrosion, contamination and media adhesion when monitoring aggressive liquids such as strong acids, alkalis and toxic liquids in sealed environments.
A sensitivity button provides one-touch smart calibration, automatically finding the best setting for the current container material and wall thickness within 3–5 seconds. The sensing method works through materials such as plastic, glass and ceramic, with a supported sensing thickness of up to 15mm.
The sensor is only 6.1mm thick for embedding in tight spaces, and its PC-V0 flame-retardant enclosure is rated IP67 for rugged use. It provides a simple high/low level output and can be interfaced directly with popular controllers such as Arduino.
Included is 1 × Miniature Non-contact Liquid Level Sensor.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- IP67
- An ingress protection rating meaning the enclosure is dust-tight and can survive temporary immersion in water under specified test conditions. This matters when choosing a sensor for outdoor, wet, or wash-down environments.
