A spring-loaded friction torque limiter (model TL350-2) that protects drive systems from damage caused by shock loads, overloads, or machine jams. When torque exceeds the preset threshold, the coupling slips to absorb the overload, then automatically re-engages when the condition clears.
The sliding torque is adjustable by turning the spring-loaded nut or bolt. The unit can be used as a centre member with a sprocket, gear sheave, or flange plate sandwiched between the friction surfaces.
