Hexy - Programmable Hexapod Kit
The Hexy by ArcBotics is a fully articulated six-legged hexapod robot kit powered by an Arduino-compatible controller. With 19 servo motors across six legs and ultrasonic sensor eyes, Hexy walks, dances, and responds to its environment. Completely open-source hardware and software.
Controlled by the Servotor32 board (Arduino Leonardo compatible, up to 32 servo channels) with an included Bluetooth module for wireless control. Programming is approachable — moves are defined in simple text files with commands like "rotate right 40 deg", and a Python move generator simplifies creating new behaviours. Pre-built demo moves get Hexy walking immediately after assembly.
