This Gravity-compatible DHT11 sensor provides calibrated digital temperature and humidity readings via a single data pin. With an integrated 8-bit microcontroller and factory-calibrated coefficients stored in OTP memory, it delivers reliable measurements with minimal setup.

The Gravity 3-pin interface enables plug-and-play connection to Arduino IO expansion shields and other Gravity-compatible boards. Operating at 3.3V or 5V, it also works with Raspberry Pi and other 3.3V platforms.

Key Features

  • Calibrated Digital Output – Factory-calibrated temperature and humidity readings
  • Gravity Interface – Plug-and-play 3-pin connector, no breadboard wiring needed
  • Full-Range Temperature Compensation – Accurate across the operating range
  • Low Power Consumption – Suitable for battery-powered and always-on projects
  • 3.3V and 5V Compatible – Works with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other platforms
  • Long-Term Stability – Reliable over extended operation periods

Ideal For

  • Indoor climate monitoring
  • Weather station projects
  • HVAC and environmental control
  • Arduino and Raspberry Pi beginner projects
  • Data logging and IoT sensor nodes

Package Contents

  • 1× Gravity DHT11 Temperature & Humidity Sensor

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

Gravity
Gravity is DFRobot’s plug-in connector system for sensors, motors and modules, using standard cables to reduce loose jumper wiring. It matters because Gravity-compatible parts can connect directly to these ports, while non-Gravity parts may need adapters or manual wiring.
IoT
Short for Internet of Things, meaning physical devices that connect to networks or the internet to send data or be controlled remotely. It matters if you want projects such as connected sensors, remote controls or classroom data-logging activities.
microcontroller
A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
Temperature compensation
Temperature compensation means the sensor adjusts its readings to reduce errors caused by changes in water temperature. This matters for field monitoring because ponds, rivers, and tanks can vary in temperature throughout the day and across seasons.
