GPIO Stacking Header for Pi A+/B+/Pi 2/Pi 3 [Extra-long 2x20 Pins]

We have ✅ 2 available of the AF-2223 in our Sydney warehouse. An extra 100 units will be available shortly.

Express post delivery (2-5 business days)

Connect your own PCB to a Raspberry Pi B+ and stack on top with this normal-height female header with extra long pins.  The female header part is about 8.5mm tall, good for small HATs that do not to clear the USB/Ethernet jacks. This header has extra long 10mm pins, compared with our plain version which is the same base height but has 3mm header pins instead. With 10mm you can have a HAT that has extra pins to stack another HAT on top!

Please note! As of June 15, 2018 we've updated this product to have thicker pins, they are now square 0.6mm pins. This means they are a little more work to insert/remove but will maintain a better mechanical/electrical connection.

You'll get one header per order.

Note: The Raspberry Pi Model A+, Raspberry Pi 2 and Raspberry Pi 3 are also compatible with this product!

GPIO Stacking Header for Pi A+/B+/Pi 2/Pi 3 [Extra-long 2x20 Pins]

As per the description - works as expected. Used it to put other I2C sensors on top of a Sense-hat board. So for accessing the GPIO pins in conjunction with a hat this is perfect.

Useful for accessing GPIO pins through PoE Hat

The Raspberry Pi PoE Hat is great, but it obscures the GPIO pins on a Raspberry Pi 3+ Model B. If I need both GPIOs and PoE, I use a Pololu 2x2 header (PL-1022) along with an Adafruit Extra Long Stacking Header (AF-2223). The Hat can be skewered (it's a tight fit) over the long headers of the AF-2223, long enough to poke through and reveal a male pin for me to access the GPIOs. But the extra height would disconnect the Hat from Pi's 2x2 PoE header, so I put the PL-1022 over this header to keep the Hat connected. For stability I recommend 15 or 16 mm standoffs in place of the 11 mm ones that come with the PoE Hat.
