This e-textiles ambient light sensor uses the TEMT6000 phototransistor to detect light levels. Designed for wearable electronics, it features a compact 20 mm round PCB that's only 0.8 mm thick — thin enough to sew into fabric or embed in clothing without adding bulk.
The sensor outputs an analog voltage proportional to the ambient light intensity, which can be read by any microcontroller's ADC pin. Use it to trigger lighting effects, adjust display brightness, or detect when a wearable is covered or exposed to light.
