Here we have some right-angle headers with 40x3 pins. They are break away and will take a bit of effort to break this beast where you need it to break. That being said, if you need a big header like this, it’s easy enough to break it where you need. The pins are spaced at 0.1" and there are 3 rows of 40 pins.
These work well in the UAV boards listed below.
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- Headers
- Rows of connector contacts on a fixed pitch (commonly 2.54 mm) used to link a board to a breadboard, jumper wires, or another board. They come as male pin headers and female socket headers; when a module ships with pre-soldered headers it can be used straight away, whereas bare pads require soldering the pins yourself.
- UAV
- UAV stands for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, an aircraft that flies without an onboard pilot, such as a drone or autonomous aircraft. Because airborne platforms have limited payload, factors like weight, power draw and any positioning features such as GNSS or RTK are often important considerations.
