The Audio Shield for DFRduino M0 is a Hi-Fi audio expansion board built around the Wolfson WM8978 codec chip. It supports dual-channel playback, SD card storage, mono recording, and dual-channel 3 W power amplification — all without requiring a separate serial MP3 module.
The shield features a standard I2S interface with an on-board microphone, 3.5 mm audio jack for external input and output, and left/right speaker connections for 3 W speakers.
