The Arduino 101 is a development board powered by the Intel Curie module, combining x86 and 32-bit ARC cores with onboard Bluetooth LE and a 6-axis accelerometer/gyroscope. It maintains the familiar Arduino Uno form factor and pinout while adding wireless connectivity and motion sensing at an entry-level price.

The Intel Curie module contains two cores (x86 Quark and 32-bit ARC), both clocked at 32MHz. The Arduino toolchain compiles sketches across both cores for optimal performance. All I/O pins operate at 3.3V but are protected against 5V overvoltage.

Key Features

  • Intel Curie Module – Dual-core processor (x86 Quark + 32-bit ARC) at 32MHz
  • Bluetooth Low Energy – Built-in BLE for wireless communication and IoT projects
  • 6-Axis IMU – Onboard accelerometer and gyroscope for motion sensing
  • Uno-Compatible Form Factor – 14 digital I/O pins (4 PWM), 6 analogue inputs
  • 3.3V Logic (5V Tolerant) – All I/O pins protected against 5V overvoltage
  • 196kB Flash / 24kB SRAM – Sufficient memory for BLE and sensor applications
