Adafruit HUZZAH CC3000 WiFi Shield with Onboard Antenna
Discontinued
The Adafruit HUZZAH CC3000 WiFi Shield adds 802.11b/g WiFi connectivity to your Arduino in a convenient shield form factor. Built around the TI CC3000 module with a built-in TCP/IP stack, it supports open, WEP, WPA, and WPA2 security with TKIP and AES encryption. The on-board antenna delivers range comparable to a smartphone, and the shield includes a 3.3V regulator and level shifting for 3V or 5V logic compatibility.
The shield also includes a microSD card socket for data logging and a reset button. It plugs directly onto Arduino Uno, Mega, and Leonardo/Micro boards. The CC3000 supports TCP and UDP in both client and server mode with up to 4 concurrent sockets, using a BSD-style socket interface.
