A simple pass-through adapter that connects two 30-pin, 0.5mm pitch FFC (Flexible Flat Cable) or FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) cables end-to-end, extending the total cable length. Useful when the included cable on a display, camera module, or other ribbon-connected component isn't long enough.
Key Features
- 30-Pin, 0.5mm Pitch – Matches common FFC/FPC cables used with displays and camera modules
- End-to-End Extension – Join two cables for increased reach
- Locking Ears – Flip-lock connectors on each side for secure cable retention
Ideal For
- Extending FFC/FPC cables for displays and camera modules
- Prototyping and enclosure builds where stock cables are too short
- Raspberry Pi camera and display ribbon cable extensions
Package Contents
- 1× 30-Pin 0.5mm FFC/FPC Extender Board
Note: Pin 1 on one side connects to pin 30 on the other. Use type A–A cables (contacts on the same side) to maintain correct pin ordering. Carefully pry the locking ears open, insert the cable with contacts facing up, then push the ears back to secure.
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- FPC
- FPC stands for flexible printed circuit, a thin flat flexible cable or connector style often used where space is tight or some movement is needed, commonly for displays, cameras and other high-density connections. Connecting to an FPC connector generally needs a matching cable with the correct pin count, pitch and contact orientation.
