A compact battery holder for three AA cells with an integrated power cable and DC barrel jack. The series configuration delivers approximately 3.6–4.5V depending on battery chemistry, making it a convenient power source for 3.3V microcontroller projects and portable electronics.
The 200mm power cable terminates in a 2.1mm DC jack (centre-positive polarity), ready to plug directly into Arduino boards and other devices with a standard DC barrel input.
Key Features
- 3× AA Series Configuration – Outputs ~4.5V (alkaline) or ~3.6V (NiMH)
- DC 2.1mm Barrel Jack – Centre-positive polarity, compatible with Arduino and similar boards
- 200mm Power Cable – Provides flexible placement away from your project
Specifications
- Battery Type – 3× AA (not included)
- Output Voltage – ~3.6V (NiMH) to ~4.5V (alkaline)
- Connector – DC barrel jack, 2.1mm ID, centre-positive
- Cable Length – 200mm
Ideal For
- Powering Arduino and 3.3V microcontroller projects
- Portable electronics and sensor nodes
- Replacing LiPo batteries where recharging isn't needed

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- DC
- DC means direct current, where electricity flows in one constant direction, as supplied by batteries, USB ports and many plug-pack power supplies. When a product specifies DC, it runs from a DC supply rather than mains AC, so you need to provide the correct voltage and polarity.
- DC barrel jack
- A round power connector commonly used for low-voltage DC power supplies, often described by its outer and inner diameters such as 5.5 x 2.1 mm. Matching the barrel size and polarity is important so the plug physically fits and powers the device correctly.
- LiPo
- A LiPo (lithium polymer) battery is a rechargeable lithium battery widely used in portable projects because it is light and compact. LiPo cells need correct charging circuitry and careful handling to stay safe, so equipment that supports LiPo generally includes charging or protection hardware suited to that battery type.
- microcontroller
- A microcontroller is a small computer on a single chip that runs a stored program and controls connected inputs and outputs such as buttons, sensors, displays and communication interfaces. In a device built around one, it is the part that executes the code and coordinates the device's behaviour.
