The DFRobot 15.6" IPS capacitive touch display is designed for single-board computers, mini PCs, and industrial HMI applications. It features a 1920×1080 resolution panel with optical bonding and anti-glare surface treatment, plus 10-point capacitive touch with a separate touch control board using the ILI2511 controller.
The full-featured USB-C port carries video, audio, and touch signals over a single cable and supports reverse PD power delivery. A standard HDMI input is also available, with dedicated HDMI adapter modules included for Raspberry Pi, LattePanda Delta/Alpha, and LattePanda Delta 3. Built-in mounting holes on the driver board match common SBC hole patterns for integrated builds.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- eDP
- Embedded DisplayPort is an internal display connection commonly used between a computer board and a built-in screen. It matters because this display needs a matching eDP connector and support on the host board, so it will not plug into a normal HDMI-only output.
- HDMI
- HDMI is a common digital video and audio connection used by computers, media players, and many displays. If a display kit has HDMI input, it is usually much easier to test with a single-board computer because it can act like a normal monitor.
- HMI
- HMI stands for Human-Machine Interface, meaning the screen, buttons, or controls a person uses to interact with a device. For this product, it suggests the display is intended for control panels, dashboards, robot faces, or other user-facing interfaces.
- IoT
- Short for Internet of Things, meaning physical devices that connect to networks or the internet to send data or be controlled remotely. It matters if you want projects such as connected sensors, remote controls or classroom data-logging activities.
- IPS
- IPS is a type of LCD panel that keeps colours and contrast more consistent when viewed from an angle. This matters for small displays that may be mounted in a dashboard, handheld project, or enclosure where the viewer is not always looking straight on.
- M2.5
- A metric screw thread size with a 2.5 mm nominal diameter. It matters for mounting because screws, standoffs, and holes must use the same size to fit securely without damaging the board.
- RGB
- Short for red, green and blue, usually referring to an LED that can mix those three colours. It matters because controlling an RGB LED teaches how separate outputs combine to create different colours.
- Transmittance
- Transmittance describes how much light passes through the display or touch panel layers. Higher transmittance can make the screen appear brighter or clearer for the same backlight power.
- USB-C
- A modern reversible USB connector used for power and data connections. On this product it matters because it can connect directly to a computer as well as to a microcontroller project.
