RN-XV WiFly Module - RP-SMA Connector
The RN-XV WiFly module by Roving Networks (now Microchip) is a certified Wi-Fi solution designed as a drop-in replacement for XBee modules. It uses the standard 802.15.4 XBee footprint, so you can migrate existing XBee-based projects to TCP/IP Wi-Fi without redesigning your hardware.
Based on the RN-171 Wi-Fi module, the RN-XV integrates an 802.11 b/g radio, 32-bit processor, full TCP/IP stack, real-time clock, and crypto accelerator. In the simplest configuration, only four connections are needed: PWR, TX, RX, and GND.
Key Features
- XBee-Compatible Footprint – Drop-in replacement for 802.15.4 XBee modules
- Ultra Low Power – 4 μA sleep mode, 38 mA active
