The 5" Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 is the compact version of the official 7" model, offering the same sharp 720x1280 resolution in a smaller form factor. Its bright capacitive touchscreen supports five-finger multi-touch, making it ideal for projects where space is limited but full display functionality is required.
Just like the 7", this display connects to your Raspberry Pi with only two cables: a GPIO power lead and a DSI ribbon cable. Both are included, with versions to support different Raspberry Pi models (excluding the Pi Zero and Pi 400/500 series). No extra power supply is needed—the Raspberry Pi powers the display directly. Raspberry Pi OS includes built-in touchscreen drivers, providing seamless multi-touch and on-screen keyboard support.
Your Raspberry Pi can be mounted neatly on the rear of the display using the supplied fixings, with space to accommodate Active Coolers and HATs. If you need to keep your GPIO pins free, consider using a HAT with stacking headers or powering the display with a USB adapter.
