In late 2010 Adafruit Industries Limor Fried and Phillip Torrone created the "Kinect bounty" along with Johnny Lee. The result was open-source drivers that has fueled thousands of art, design, robotics and education projects. The Kinect Bounty was won by Hector Martin.
