SparkFun Purpletooth Jamboree - BC127 Development Board
The SparkFun Purpletooth Jamboree is a Bluetooth audio development board built around the BC127 dual-mode Bluetooth module. It supports Bluetooth Classic (2.1) audio profiles — A2DP for stereo streaming, HFP for hands-free calling, and AVRCP for playback control — as well as Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) for data applications.
The board includes balanced-to-single-ended audio conversion circuitry, a headphone amplifier, microphone input, seven control buttons (volume, track, play, pair), battery charging, and serial headers compatible with FTDI breakouts, Arduino Pro, Pro Mini, and LilyPad boards.

Tip: A 5 V FTDI adapter is required for sending serial commands. The micro-USB port provides power and firmware update capability but not serial command access.
