The Netduino 3 is an open-source microcontroller platform that runs the .NET Micro Framework, bringing high-level C# programming to embedded hardware. With event-based programming, multi-threading, breakpoints, and line-by-line debugging, it offers a familiar development experience for .NET developers working with hardware.

Built around a 168 MHz ARM Cortex-M4 processor with 1408 KB code storage and 164+ KB RAM, the Netduino 3 is compatible with most Arduino shields (some may require .NET MF drivers).

Key Features

  • 168 MHz ARM Cortex-M4 – 32-bit processor
  • 1408 KB Code Storage – Nearly 4× the Netduino 2
  • 164+ KB RAM – Nearly double the Netduino 2
  • 6 ADC Channels – 12-bit analogue-to-digital conversion
  • 3 GoBus Ports – For plug-and-play GoBus modules
  • Arduino Shield Compatible – Works with most Arduino-format shields
  • .NET Micro Framework – Program in C# with full debugging support
