SparkFun 3.3V Step-Up Breakout - NCP1402
The SparkFun 3.3 V Step-Up Breakout is a DC-DC boost converter based on the NCP1402. It accepts input voltages between 1 V and 3 V (such as one or two AA batteries) and outputs a constant, low-ripple 3.3 V capable of sourcing up to 200 mA. All necessary peripheral components are included on-board.
Input, output, and ground pins are broken out on a 2.54 mm (0.1″) grid for direct breadboard use.
Key Features
- NCP1402 Boost Converter – Steps up low voltages to a stable 3.3 V output
- Wide Input Range – Accepts 1–3 V DC (1× or 2× AA batteries)
- 200 mA Output – Sufficient for 3.3 V sensors and microcontrollers
- Low Ripple – Clean output for sensitive circuits
