The SparkFun gator:environment is a micro:bit accessory board that combines the CCS811 gas sensor and BME280 atmospheric sensor for comprehensive environmental monitoring. It measures barometric pressure, humidity, temperature, total volatile organic compounds (eTVOC), and estimated CO2 (eCO2) levels — all over I²C.
Connects to the SparkFun gator:bit via alligator-clip cables for solderless hookup to the micro:bit's I²C pins. The BME280 provides humidity and temperature data to the CCS811, allowing it to fine-tune its gas readings for improved accuracy.
