A PCIe adapter board for the Raspberry Pi 5 that supports up to four M.2 NVMe SSDs simultaneously. Connect via the Pi 5's PCIe interface using the included 16-pin cable and gain dramatically faster storage for NAS builds, data processing, and boot-from-SSD setups.

The board includes an on-board wide-voltage DC jack (7–24V) that can power your Raspberry Pi 5 via a 3-pin cable at up to 5V/5A, eliminating the need for a separate Pi power supply. Alternatively, the adapter can be powered directly from the Pi 5.

Key Features

  • Quad SSD Support – Connect up to 4× M.2 NVMe SSDs (2280, 2260, 2242, 2230)
  • Interface – PCIe to M.2 M-Key (PCIe x1 Gen2)
  • Power Input – On-board DC jack (7–24V) powers Pi 5 via 3-pin cable (up to 5V/5A)
  • Boot Support – Boot Raspberry Pi 5 directly from NVMe SSD
  • LED Indicators – Per-SSD status LEDs for monitoring
  • Weight – 66g
Note: Raspberry Pi 5 and NVMe SSDs are not included. A 12V 4A power supply may be required for multi-SSD configurations.

Ideal For

  • Raspberry Pi 5 NAS and RAID storage builds
  • Multi-drive data processing and backup systems
  • High-performance boot and storage upgrades

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

DC
DC means direct current, where electricity flows in one constant direction, as supplied by batteries, USB ports and many plug-pack power supplies. When a product specifies DC, it runs from a DC supply rather than mains AC, so you need to provide the correct voltage and polarity.
FPC
FPC stands for flexible printed circuit, a thin flat flexible cable or connector style often used where space is tight or some movement is needed, commonly for displays, cameras and other high-density connections. Connecting to an FPC connector generally needs a matching cable with the correct pin count, pitch and contact orientation.
LED
A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.
M.2
M.2 is a compact edge-connector standard for plugging small modules - such as SSDs, wireless cards or microcontroller modules - into a host board without soldering. The same slot shape can carry different interfaces (for example PCIe, SATA or USB), so keying and the supported module type need to be checked.
NVMe
A high-speed storage standard commonly used by modern SSDs. NVMe support matters if you want faster storage for large AI models, video files or operating system images than a typical microSD card can provide.
