The Pulse Sensor Amped is a plug-and-play heart-rate sensor for Arduino. It detects pulse by measuring changes in reflected light as blood pumps through your tissues, providing a real-time analogue signal that fluctuates with each heartbeat.

Compatible with both 3.3 V and 5 V Arduino boards, it connects directly via a colour-coded cable with standard male headers — no soldering required. Includes accessories for finger strap and ear clip mounting.

Key Features

  • Plug-and-Play – Connects directly to Arduino or breadboard with included cable
  • 3.3 V and 5 V Compatible – Works with a wide range of Arduino boards
  • Multiple Mounting Options – Includes ear clip and Velcro finger strap parts
  • Sewable Design – Three holes around the edge for sewing into wearables
  • Analogue Output – Signal fluctuates around V/2 reference point with each pulse
  • Built-In Hysteresis – Adjustable rising and falling thresholds for reliable detection
