The Pololu Basic 2-Channel SPDT Relay Carrier provides simple, independent control of two single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) relay switches from low-voltage, low-current control signals. This assembled version comes ready to use with relays, terminal blocks, and header pins pre-soldered.

Each relay channel can be driven by a microcontroller or other logic-level signal, making it easy to switch higher-power loads such as motors, lights, or solenoids from an Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

Key Features

  • 2 Independent Channels – Control two SPDT relay switches separately
  • Pre-Assembled – Relays, terminal blocks, and header pins soldered in place
  • Omron G5LE-14-DC5 Relays – Rated for up to 10 A under most conditions
  • 5.0 mm Terminal Blocks – Screw terminals for secure switch connections
  • 0.1″ Male Header Pins – Standard pitch for breadboard and jumper wire compatibility
  • Low-Power Control – Driven by low-voltage, low-current logic signals

Specifications

  • Relay Type: SPDT (single-pole, double-throw)
  • Relay Model: Omron G5LE-14-DC5
  • Coil Voltage: 5 V DC
  • Contact Rating: Up to 10 A
  • Channels: 2
  • Terminal Block Pitch: 5.0 mm
  • Header Pitch: 0.1″ (2.54 mm)

Ideal For

  • Switching motors, lights, and solenoids from a microcontroller
  • Home automation and IoT projects
  • Arduino and Raspberry Pi relay control

Package Contents

  • 1× Assembled 2-channel SPDT relay carrier board with Omron G5LE-14-DC5 relays, 5.0 mm terminal blocks, and 0.1″ male header pins

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

IoT
Short for Internet of Things, meaning physical devices that connect to networks or the internet to send data or be controlled remotely. It matters if you want projects such as connected sensors, remote controls or classroom data-logging activities.
microcontroller
A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
Terminal block
A connector used to join wires together in a neat, removable, or serviceable way. For this product, it helps split one power input into several outputs without soldering.
