This PIR sensor is suitable for use with Arduino and Raspberry PI. The 3.3v logic level is very handy as it allows you to use this sensor with 3.3v Arduinos like the Due or Pro Mini as well as 5V like the Uno as 3.3v is still a logical HIGH on a 5v input.
You will still need some 5V available to run the sensor.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

3.3V TTL
3.3V TTL means the serial logic signals use 3.3 volt levels rather than 5 volts. This matters because connecting it directly to a 5V-only signal can damage the module or cause unreliable communication unless level shifting is used.
PIR sensor
A passive infrared sensor detects changes in heat, usually from a person moving across its view. It matters because PIR sensors are common for lights and alarms, but they can miss people who are present but not moving much.
