The MyoWare 2.0 Link Shield connects a MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor to your Arduino microcontroller via a 3.5mm TRS cable. Simply snap the Link Shield onto your Muscle Sensor using the built-in snap connectors, connect a TRS-to-TRS cable, and link it to the MyoWare 2.0 Arduino Shield on your development board.

The board includes power and output mode switches, letting you select between raw EMG (RAW), rectified (RECT), or envelope (ENV) signals. Status LEDs indicate power and envelope signal activity, and a reference/ground jumper is provided for configuration flexibility.

Key Features

  • 3.5mm TRS Connector – Links Muscle Sensor to Arduino Shield via standard audio cable
  • Snap-On Connection – 3× female snap pins for easy stacking onto MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor
  • Output Mode Switch – Select RAW, RECT, or ENV signal output
  • Power Switch – ON/OFF control
  • Status LEDs – VIN power and ENV envelope signal indicators
  • Reference/GND Jumper – Configurable reference selection
  • No Soldering Required – Snap connectors eliminate the need for soldering between boards

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

microcontroller
A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
Shield
An add-on board that plugs into a main controller board to give it extra features such as sensing, motor control or communication. Knowing a product supports shields helps you judge whether it can connect neatly into an existing maker-board setup.
